HAREDI IDF SERVICE

YESHIVA DERECH CHAIM

Haredi Hesder Yeshiva

Haredi men no longer need to choose between high-level Torah study and military service. This 5-year program offers 3-years of full-time Torah study followed by evening computer training. In years four and five, students earn a college degree, serve in the IDF by day, and return to yeshiva at night.

The first class of graduates had a 100% employment rate with salaries above the Israeli average. Plans are in progress to build a new campus and community for yeshiva graduates.

Your donation of $1,000 can provide a young man with the opportunity to join this program.

Shavei Israel

Shavei Israel reaches out and assists lost tribes and hidden Jewish communities to reclaim their roots and return to Israel and the Jewish people. Founded two decades ago by Michael Freund, the organization is based in Jerusalem and is active in more than a dozen countries worldwide with a variety of communities, chief among them the Bnei Menashe of northeastern India, who are descended from a Lost Tribe of Israel. Working closely with the Israeli Government, Shavei Israel has brought more than 5,000 Bnei Menashe on Aliya to Israel thus far and plans to bring the remaining 5,000 still in India as well. In addition to the Bnei Menashe, Shavei Israel works with other communities such as the Bnei Anousim ("Marranos") of Spain, Portugal, southern Italy and Latin America; the Chinese Jews of Kaifeng, China; the Hidden Jews of Poland from the Holocaust and the Subbotnik Jews of Russia and the Ukraine. Shavei Israel's motto is that the Jewish people are "One Nation with Many Faces" and it aims to reunite those whose Jewish ancestors were torn away from us with the rest of the people of Israel.

EDUCATION

TORAH ACADEMY OF ISRAEL

Teaching young ultra-Orthodox students general studies

Rabbi Menachem Bombach, a Hassid from Meah She'arim, founded a high school network offering mainstream Haredim full college preparatory general studies alongside Torah studies. The program includes extra-curricular activities such as music, gardening, and leadership training.
The network currently has branches in Beitar, Jerusalem, and Bet Shemesh, with plans to open new branches each year and reach 10,000 students annually. A modern campus is also being planned on the outskirts of Jerusalem.

Your $500 donation will enable a Haredi child to benefit from this remarkable education.

EDUCATION

LECTURES FOR STUDENTS

Rabbi Dov Lipman offers to engage students in serious discussions about Israel to counter false information that students receive about Israel's history and society. Students will learn that Israel stands for human rights and justice, and has the right to exist as a Jewish state, regardless of their political leanings.
